The New Approach Missouri campaign passed another milestone this week, having collected more than 190,000 total signatures in an effort to get a medical marijuana initiative on the 2018 ballot. A HUGE chunk of those signatures were gathered by volunteers. A big hat tip to the campaign, keep up the good work! Below is an update from the campaign, via a press release on their website:
I am extremely pleased to announce that, of the 190,000 total signatures collected to place medical cannabis on the ballot in November, our volunteer petitioners have now gathered 100,000 of those signatures! Very few initiative campaigns achieve that kind of outstanding grassroots support.
And we aren’t done yet!
By the time we submit signatures, we aim to amass a total of more than 130,000 volunteer signatures. That will not happen, however, without your help.
And even volunteer signatures are not free. To keep volunteer signature collection humming along, we need petitions, fliers, signs, banners, tables at events, coordinators, and professional signature validation for every signature submitted.
Help equip our volunteers with everything they need to succeed by contributing $15, $25, $50, or $100 now! Our volunteers freely give their time and brave what has been some terrible weather
