Title: Retail Associate (Budtender)

Location: North Kansas City, MO

Pay/Salary: $16/hr +Shared Tips

Job Description

Terrapin is looking for a Wellness Consultant (Budtender) to join our growing company. As a Boulder, Colo.-based national cannabis company, Terrapin is a pioneer in the emerging industry. Terrapin is a cultivator, processor and provider of high-quality medical and recreational cannabis products. Over 10 years of operations, Terrapin has grown into a multi-state company with nearly 400 employees. As we have expanded nationally, our need for Wellness Consultant (Budtender)has grown significantly.

Wellness Consultants are the face of the Retail Marijuana Industry that represent the mission and the goals of Terrapin Care Station while providing superior customer service and maintaining a level of product knowledge to meet the needs of the patron, while providing an education on the safe consumption of available products. They are also responsible for knowing the laws that govern a legal sale of marijuana in either a medical or retail setting to ensure that the business is operating within the confines of compliance. They are the last people in the seed-to-sale chain of production who have the task of delivering products while giving the customer the best experience Terrapin Care Station can provide.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must have physical possession of a valid occupational license issued by the MED
  • Is a customer service professional
  • Must be organized and maintain a neat and clean work station
  • Must have familiarity with grams vs ounces
  • Must be able to perform simple math
  • Must be willing to learn about new products and cannabinoids
  • Must be aware of all laws and compliance surrounding retail operations
  • Must possess a willingness to learn the effects and applications of concentrates and other THC infused products.
  • Experience in the use of cannabis and possess a willingness to learn strain genetics including their properties and effects
  • Is familiar with Windows, Microsoft Office and Google Drive
  • Must be able to operate the point of sale system and maintain accurate cash handling practices

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire. Proof of vaccination required. Must have 1 year of cash handling experience
  • Must have 1 year of customer service experience
