Static Asset Protection Officer – Chase Security – St. Louis, MO

Chase Security is looking for a Static Asset Protection Officer. They will Conduct Armed Security Operations on an assigned post in order to deter illegal or unauthorized activity and provide protection to all personnel and property within the site boundaries. Supports the site Security Manager and local law enforcement through patrolling, investigation and detention as required and authorized under law to ensure compliance with all state, company, and facility SOP’s, rules, and regulations. This position reports directly to the Security Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities for this position will include but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professionally conducts all site security operations, facility and company SOP’s, and client directives.

  • Carries and operates weapon systems in compliance with all state, company, and facility SOP’s, rules, and regulations.

  • Maintains a physical security presence on assigned areas.

  • Observes, reports and intercedes where applicable in situations regarding personnel and client assets. Pays particular attention to dangerous or unauthorized situations in order to limit the risk of injury to individuals at the assigned location.

  • Utilizes technology and equipment to identify, prevent, and document illegal, unauthorized or dangerous activities or situations.

  • Investigates and reports any irregular activity within the assigned location.

  • Provides personal observations of applicable job functions to ensure that all company policies and procedures are met with compliance.

  • Reports to security manager any items requiring maintenance or repair. Pays particular attention to safety related matters and reports such items immediately. If dangerous, takes precautions to prevent injury until help arrives to respond to the situation.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with employees of the facility and personnel having use of the facility, such as management, security officers, and local emergency services.

  • Possesses knowledge of policies and procedures based on Security Officer training.

  • Always conducts oneself in a manner that reflects credit on the company and encourages others to do the same.

  • Must be able to work well with Co-Workers/Supervisor/Managers.

  • Maintains proper records and logs as directed by policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.

  • Acts in accordance with established procedures to assure the safeguard of all assets, equipment and property.

  • Notes the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies, including those regarding confidentiality.

  • Performs all other tasks assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Must be a minimum of 23 years of age upon employment.

  • Must have valid state issued Driver’s license.

  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in the Security Industry.

  • Must be able to be approved for and maintain an Armed Security Officer license.

  • Must work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

  • Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation, drug screening, and license application (if required).

  • Must meet or exceed the team’s expectations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have excellent observation skills.

  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.

  • Ability to stand, walk, run, stoop, bend and sit while on patrol.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to satisfactorily complete the Missouri Cannabis Protective Services Certification Course.

  • Ability to perform fine motor skill functions.

Technical Requirements:

  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

  • Must have excellent writing and spelling skills.

  • Requires strong organizational skills.

  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.

  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.

  • Must have the ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.

  • Computer experience required.

Training Tests Include:

  • Push Ups, Sit ups and 1 1/2 Mile Run to time limit

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1-year experience in a High Threat Security Capacity.

  • 4 years Military experience within a Combat Arms MOS or Law Enforcement equivalent.

  • Military experience verifiable by DD-214.

  • Valid, Current Metropolitan Security License (with endorsements).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-Time

Salary: $20.00 /Hour

First Mandatory Advanced Training Starts Week of November 4th 2019, at a reduced rate of pay during that duration of training.
