Emily Christianson swears by the healing powers of an oil derived from the hemp plant. She’s heard testimonies from people with chronic pain and those who suffer from opioid dependence that it has changed their lives.
Christianson and her husband, Chad, opened a new hemp oil store, CBD of Springfield, in late December.
The shop, at 3203 S. Campbell Ave., carries lotions, tinctures, gummy candies, shampoo, bath bombs, vape juice and other items imbued with CBD, or cannabidiol, oil. It’s the first and only place in town to specialize in CBD products — sold to people 18 years of age and older.
